WAYNE TUCKER AND THE BAD MOTHAS
ASTORIA PARK, QUEENS — QUEENS JAZZ TRAIL @ JUNE 19

Trumpeter Wayne Tucker leads the Bad Mothas in a free outdoor concert at Astoria Park as part of the Queens Jazz Trail Concert Series, presented by the Kupferberg Center for the Arts, Flushing Town Hall and the Louis Armstrong House Museum. Wayne is a GRAMMY Award-nominated musician who has performed with Kurt Elling, the Roots, Taylor Swift and the Count Basie Orchestra. Queens has one of the deepest jazz histories of any borough – home at various points to Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie and Lena Horne – and the series was built to honor that inheritance. The concert takes place on Juneteenth.
