Saxophonist Walter Smith III presents his TWIO (Two Is One) concept, a trio format featuring Joe Sanders on bass and Kendrick Scott on drums, with a rotating cast of special guest saxophonists throughout the week: Nicole Glover (Wednesday), Ravi Coltrane (Thursday), Joe Lovano (Friday), Dayna Stephens (Saturday) and Chris Potter (Sunday). Walter has appeared on over 100 recordings and has been a member of influential groups including the Roy Haynes Fountain of Youth Band, Terence Blanchard Quintet, Eric Harland's Voyager, Ambrose Akinmusire Quintet and Christian McBride's Situation. His 2023 Blue Note debut, return to casual, garnered critical acclaim, followed by Three of us are from Houston and Reuben is not (Blue Note) in 2024. In March 2026, Walter releases TWIO Vol. 2 (Blue Note). He currently serves as chair of woodwinds at Berklee College of Music.  JZZ
