Hailing from New Orleans, saxophonist and clarinetist Victor Goines has earned respect as a leader, a member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, a composer, and an educator. He has recorded several very popular recordings and has a number of commissions to his credit. His versatility has lead him to collaborate with a diverse roster of musical icons including Ahmad Jamal, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Terence Blanchard, Ray Charles, Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea, Winton Marsalis, and a long list of others. In 2022, he officially became the president and CEO of Jazz St. Louis with a mission of preserving the legacy of jazz through performance, education, and community engagement.
