British singer-songwriter Tiana Major9 blends neo-soul, jazz, gospel, and reggae with a modern R&B sound. Born in East London to Jamaican parents, Tiana began singing at age five and developed her voice in church before studying music at City and Islington College. Her stage name pays tribute to the major 9th chord, reflecting her deep roots in jazz. Signed to Motown Records, she gained recognition with her 2017 track "Levee (Let It Break)" and her 2019 EP Rehearsal @ NINE. Tiana earned a GRAMMY Award nomination for "Collide," featured on the Queen & Slim soundtrack. Citing Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu and traditional gospel as key influences, she is known for her smooth, smoky tone, complex vocal arrangements and use of live instrumentation. She has collaborated with artists including Stormzy, Smino and Earthgang. JZZ
