THE BLCK MADONNA

DOWNTOWN MUSIC RECORDS NYC / MARCH 27

The BLCK Madonna (Ana Hoffman) is a Harlem-based jazz vocalist and songwriter whose debut album, Between the Lines (2026), has established her as a distinctive new voice in contemporary jazz. Born to Ghanaian and American parents, BLCK Madonna brings a refined, dusky soprano to classic standards, reinterpreting them with a cinematic, atmospheric sensibility that bridges tradition and modernity. The eight-track album features her intimate takes on "Afro Blue," "Round Midnight," and "My Funny Valentine," with the "Afro Blue" single released in January 2026 drawing attention for its deeply personal approach to the jazz standard. Her sound balances emotional immediacy with careful restraint, offering familiar material through a fresh lens.  JZZ
