Three-time GRAMMY Award-nominated pianist Orrin Evans has recorded over 25 albums as leader and has led multiple collaborations, resulting in a discography spanning over three decades and his own independent record label company, Imani Records. Orrin, who has studied with Kenny Barron and worked as a sideman for Bobby Watson, Ralph Peterson, Duane Eubanks and Lenora Zenzalai-Helm, taps into swing with blues-infused hardcore jazz, spiritual jazz and avant-garde traditions. Join the New Jersey Performing Arts Center at Bethany Baptist in Newark for this special performance bringing together jazz and worship.
