Violinist and composer Kersten Stevens – known as the Queen of the Violin – is a genre-defying artist whose sound fuses jazz, gospel, soul, and storytelling. A Yale alumna and six-time winner of Amateur Night and Showtime at the Apollo, Kersten transforms every performance into something luminous and deeply felt. Her latest album, Queen Rising, co-written and produced by eight-time GRAMMY Award winner Christian McBride, debuted in the JazzWeek Top 40. She has been featured in Vogue, WBGO 88.3 FM, and All About Jazz and has shared the stage with Keyon Harrold, Kamasi Washington, Faith Evans and Trombone Shorty. Kersten has also performed for notable figures including Usher, Babyface, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris and Dionne Warwick.
