BRANDON WOODY
CAFE EZRULIE / MAY 7

Baltimore-born trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Brandon Woody is one of the most compelling new voices in contemporary jazz. Hailed by both The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times as a rising force in the music, Woody signed with the legendary Blue Note Records in November 2024 and released his debut album, For the Love of It All, in May 2025 – an arrival that confirmed everything the early notices had suggested. His music flows from the rich lineage of Black musical expression – jazz, gospel, improvisation, and beyond – exploring themes of love, resilience, and community with a depth of feeling rare in any musician, let alone one still early in his career. Café Ezrulie, one of New York's most intimate and community-rooted venues, is an ideal setting for an artist whose music is fundamentally about connection. This is a night not to miss. HH
