Artemis is a powerhouse ensemble of modern jazz masters, founded in 2017 by pianist and musical director Renee Rosnes. The current lineup features Renee on piano and keyboards, Ingrid Jensen on trumpet, Nicole Glover on tenor saxophone, Noriko Ueda on bass and Allison Miller on drums. Each musician is a bandleader and composer in her own right, and every performance encompasses inspired arrangements of classics alongside original compositions. NPR has described the group as "a killer lineup of players, composers, and performers . . . who converge on an extremely cosmopolitan, sleek, rhythm-forward, modern sound." Artemis has been awarded #1 Group of the Year in the DownBeat Readers Poll in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Their third recording, Arboresque (Blue Note), was released in February 2025, featuring arrangements and originals contributed by all members of the band.  JZZ
