Clarinetist and saxophonist Anat Cohen performs in duo with seven-string guitarist Marcello Gonçalves. A multi-GRAMMY Award-nominated artist, Anat has been selected as the top clarinetist in DownBeat polls for multiple years running. Born in Tel Aviv, she moved to New York in the late 1990s and has since become one of the most respected voices in contemporary jazz, known for her expressive playing and versatility across jazz, Brazilian choro, and other genres. Marcello is one of Brazil's most acclaimed seven-string guitarists, a master of the traditional Brazilian guitar style that provides both bass lines and harmonic accompaniment. The pair released their GRAMMY Award-nominated duet album Outra Coisa (Anzic) in 2018, which LatinJazzNet called "glorious music." Together they explore the rich intersection of jazz and Brazilian musical traditions. The lineup features Anat on clarinet and saxophone and Marcello on seven-string guitar. JZZ
